I ordered pickup through ontheborder.com, and the process itself was simple and easy to figure out. The food was ready a little later than expected, though, and one of the sides was missing when I got home. It wasn’t a terrible experience by any means, but it wasn’t exactly smooth either. Overall, I left feeling kind of underwhelmed.

"Drinks were better than I expected"
I was ready for the margarita to be overly sweet or kind of artificial, but it was actually really good. It tasted fresh and had a nice balance, which was a relief because those can go wrong easily.

The food was good, honestly. It came out hot, which I always appreciate, and everything tasted fresh. I really liked the chips and salsa, like I could’ve kept eating those by themselves. The fajitas had good flavor too. Nothing that totally blew me away, but for a quick dinner, it was solid, really solid...

"Reservation was easy"
I booked a table on ontheborder.com for Friday night and it was easy enough. The site loaded fine, nothing weird happened, and I got the confirmation email quickly, so... yeah, that part was smooth.
I do kind of wish it gave a little more detail about wait times or what to expect when you get there, but not a huge deal. We showed up and they had the reservation ready, so overall it worked out fine.

I don’t really buy into all the polished company talk places use, but every time I’ve ordered from here the food has been good and the service has been solid. No big drama, just consistently decent.

"Takeout was kind of a letdown"
I grabbed takeout from here the other night after work because I didn’t feel like cooking and had just spent way too long staring into my fridge. Unfortunately, the food was cold by the time I got to it, and the chips tasted stale, which was disappointing because I was really looking forward to them...

"Got seated quick, thankfully"
Went in on a Friday night expecting the whole waiting-around routine, which I really wasn’t in the mood to deal with. Luckily, we only had to wait about 10 minutes before getting seated. Food came out fast too, so at least it didn’t turn into some big effort just to grab dinner. No real complaints from me.

"Rewards are decent when the timing works out"
I use the On The Border rewards often when I order, and the points add up better than I expected. The coupons definitely help too. The only annoying part is the app can be slow, and of course it always seems to happen right when I’m trying to place an order or use a deal before it expires. Bad timing more than anything, I guess. Overall though, the rewards are still worth using

"Fresh and solid, but I’m picky about shells"
I thought the veggies tasted really fresh and the salsa was good. I’m kind of particular about taco shells, so I did notice one of them was a little softer than I like, but overall it was still a good meal.

"Maybe It Was Just the Chips and Salsa"
I only stopped in for a quick snack, but the chips and salsa ended up being way better than I expected. The chips were warm and the salsa tasted really fresh. I don’t know, maybe I was just extra hungry, but it was super simple and totally hit the spot.

"Fun spot for dinner"
Went to On The Border last weekend and had a really good time. The vibe was nice, not fancy or anything, just lively and comfortable. Music was good, the place felt clean, and it was easy to just hang out and relax with friends. Definitely a fun dinner spot

The place was clean overall, and most of the tables looked wiped down when I was there. I didn’t really have much reason to ask the staff for anything, which is fine by me because I’m always a little skeptical about how helpful customer service will actually be. Still, for a quick stop, it was decent

I ordered pickup through ontheborder.com it was ready almost exactly when the site said it would be. I was in a bit of a rush, so I really appreciated not having to stand around forever waiting on the food.
The only reason I’d stick with 4 stars is because the counter line took a few extra minutes, even though my order was already packed up and still warm. Not a huge deal, but if that part starts getting worse, I’d probably just pick somewhere else next time. Overall though, it was still quick...

"Food was a bit bland"
I was really hoping for more flavor, but everything just tasted kind of flat. Not sure how to explain it, but the tacos felt a little dry and not super fresh. The salsa was okay, but overall it didn’t really hit the mark for me

"Way more food than I expected"
I ordered from On The Border and was kind of surprised by how much food showed up. The bowl was really full, and the chips and salsa actually lasted the whole time, which doesn’t usually happen. Somehow I still had leftovers after, so that was a nice surprise. Definitely felt worth it.
